Water resistant laminate is a multi-layer, synthetic product fused together using a lamination process. The inner core is made up of high density composite board materials that repel water, which is then topped with a printed layer, and finally a wear layer to protect the plank below. The result is an economical alternative to engineered or solid wood flooring with realistic wood visuals and texture, but with the benefit of being more durable and resistant to wear and tear such as dents and scratching as well as water.
